The Balls System: Scoring Points in Fantasy Basketball on Motion Quest Sport
Welcome to the Balls System page on Motion Quest Sport, where we explain how the fantasy basketball scoring system works! In fantasy basketball, every action a player takes on the court can earn or subtract points from your team’s total. Understanding how these points are earned and lost will give you the edge needed to dominate your fantasy league.
Here’s how the Balls System calculates points based on NBA player performance:
Points Earned:
Points Scored: +1 point for every 2 points a player scores.
Rebounds (Offensive + Defensive): +1 point for each rebound.
Assists: +1.5 points for every assist.
Steals: +2 points for each steal.
Blocks: +2 points for every block.
Field Goals Made: +0.5 points for each successful field goal.
Three-Pointers Made: +1 point for each 3-pointer made.
Free Throws Made: +0.5 points for each successful free throw.
Double-Double: +2 points for recording a double-double (10+ points and 10+ rebounds or assists).
Triple-Double: +4 points for recording a triple-double (10+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 10+ assists).
Points Subtracted:
Missed Field Goals: -0.5 points for every missed field goal.
Missed Free Throws: -0.25 points for every missed free throw.
Turnovers: -1 point for each turnover.
Personal Fouls: -0.5 points for each personal foul.
Technical Fouls: -2 points for each technical foul committed by a player.
The Balls System ensures that you are rewarded for players who perform well and contribute to their team’s success, while penalizing actions that negatively affect their performance. Always consider these stats when making your lineup and managing your team throughout the season.
